Job Description: 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our team at Kashew Cheese delis. As Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen team in creating exceptional vegan dishes featuring our signature handcrafted Kashew cheeses, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Responsibilities:

• Design and prepare menus that feature innovative vegan dishes that appeal to a wide variety of tastes and preferences.
• Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation according to standard recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining the highest quality.
• Train and develop kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Create and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, and ensure that orders are placed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Review and analyze kitchen statistics, including food costs, to ensure that financial targets are met.
• Collaborate with other management team members to develop promotions, events, and other programs to increase customer engagement and loyalty.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role in a vegan or plant-based kitchen.
• In-depth knowledge of vegan cuisine, including a deep understanding of plant-based proteins, cheese alternatives, and other vegan ingredients.
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen management and culinary arts.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for food safety and sanitation.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Relevant culinary degree or certification is preferred.
