Single-origin chocolate is only a recent phenomenon in Vietnam. Despite harvesting some of the finest beans in the world, Vietnam never had much of a chocolate culture. And then came Marou. Their wonderful range of single-origin chocolate is 100% vegan using only high-quality, locally sourced cocoa, cocoa butter, and cane sugar.
Marou roasts their cacao low and slow so you can taste their hard work and the terroir of each provincial origin. Marou Faiseurs de Chocolat was among the first “bean to bar” chocolates in Asia and one of the few in the world to make chocolate at origin. What began as a dream for two wayward Frenchmen has snowballed into a brand of pure dark chocolate entirely made from Vietnam’s finest ingredients.
